C - Tony Pena
What's not to love about Pena, his clear passion for catching and his unique stances? He got a shout-out in the 2016 World Series, and he brings that old school 80s style to the table. My stint in New England
1B - Jeff Bagwell
Berkman, you were long in my heart, but your recent hateful turn is more than I can stomach.

Runners-up: Chipper Jones
SS - Carlos Correa
He's obviously the freshest of the fresh, but Houston (and the MLB) rarely gets to see such a gifted and natural player, particularly at short.

UTIL - Terry Pendleton
Before there was Chipper at the hot corner in Atlanta, there was Terry -- one of the more physically improbable great players of the day. With his double-flapped helmet, bare flickering fingers and rotund build, he paired inimitable style with remarkable stability and even excellence. In those heady days of cable TBS, with my family moved far from native Houston, I was a big Braves fan and a big Terry Pendleton fan.
